How often should my Granite Stone countertops be sealed?
This depends on the sealer you choose. Some sealers need to be applied every 6 months to 1 year. Others last for 4-5 years. It also depends on the stone, some stones need to be sealed more often than others. My natural stone countertops are no longer shiny. How do I get the shine back?
Most of the time it turns out that some sort of film is sitting on the surface. This happens when one doesn't use the proper cleaner, or when they clean their granite surface with water and dish soap (this will eventually lead to a soap film build up). Your granite or marble stone should be deep cleaned, resealed, buffed and polished. What is the best way to clean granite countertops?
Use a stone soap they are easy to use and you won't have to worry about short term or long term damage to your stone. Our granite does show some darkening when water is left on it for more than a few minutes. Should I apply more sealer?
